Installation & Service Technician
JOB TITLE: INSTALLATION & SERVICE TECHNICIAN
DEPARTMENT: WATER TREATMENT
LOCATION: LACOMBE, AB
JOB SUMMARY:
Installation and service of all types of water equipment, pumps and pressure systems in both residential and commercial locations. Experience with Auto Trol and Fleck is an asset.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Water Treatment: 60%
- Installation of customized water treatment and pressure systems
- Lifting heavy equipment (up to 100 lbs) in and out of confined spaces and up & down stairways.
Customer Service: 30%
- On-site servicing & maintenance of water treatment equipment
- On-site troubleshooting when necessary
Store Duties: 10%
- Servicing customer equipment in shop
- Inventory – unloading softener salt & supplies
- Inventory – stocking shelves
- Customer service – water jug cleaning & filling
- keeping work areas & vans clean and organized
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Customer sales/service experience
- Self-directed, motivated, honest, organized, conscientious, friendly
- All training provided for water treatment equipment installation & service
- The minimum qualifications for this job are:
- Minimum Grade 12
- 2 – 3 years of directly related experience in plumbing and/or water treatment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Heavy lifting
- Daytime hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
- Overtime hours and on-call weekends may be required
- Travelling to rural locations throughout Central Alberta
SCREENING AND VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
- Non-probationary Class 5 driver’s license
- Clean Driver’s Abstract prior to interview
- Police Information check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Three references are required from professionals from past work history
- Service vehicle is provided for business hours. Transportation to and from work is not provided.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
- 3 months
- Negotiable start wage with opportunity to earn $32/hr fully trained out
- Health benefits available after probation
