Chlorine / Peroxide
A Chlorine or Hydrogen Peroxide injection system can eliminate bacteria like iron bacteria, sulfate bacteria, coliform and E.coli. In most cases they could eliminate the need to shock chlorinate your well as all water is being treated at surface before point of use. This type of system will also eliminate all odor plus improve the taste of the water.
Alberta Health Services (AHS) recommends that private water wells be tested twice annually for harmful bacteria. With either of these types of systems regular testing would not be required, if the system is maintained properly.
