Iron Filters
Iron, even in small quantities can be one of the most troublesome elements found in water. As little as 0.3 ppm (parts per million) of iron can cause staining of fixtures, sinks, showers, flooring, and most anything else it comes into contact with.
Iron in the water can affect the color of hair, the taste of water as well as the smell of water. If the concentration of iron is high enough it could cause blockage of water pipes and build up inside hot water heaters. Since it has so many undesirable properties, iron removal is an important phase of water treatment.

We also stock Iron Reduction in-line filters that remove up to 3.0 PPM iron but do not need to backwash every few days into the septic system.
